I am an Integrator at heart

I understand the mission... then I plan, execute, and keep everything on track. This is second nature to me as it has deep roots in my childhood.  I had to be efficient and “systemize” my life so I could do all that was expected (study, do well in school, practice piano, keep my room clean, do chores, etc.) and the things I enjoyed (play tennis, soccer, pond hockey, bike, build tree forts, etc.). Everything I do is structured and purposeful.  This methodology served me well throughout my personal and business life.

I have always run businesses

I have always run businesses. My first opportunity was sales, but not traditional sales. I ran my own international IT Hardware trading business for over 25 years, focusing exclusively on relationships, speculative inventory management, and P&L. The companies I worked for managed warehousing, technical services, and logistics. I was a classic, “doer” and was very successful because of my ability to structure and "systemize" my business operations to operate efficiently. It came naturally to me. In 2011, I was asked to manage the sales organization for my company. In that role, I laid the foundation for growing a new initiative from $400,000 to over $40M in revenue. Today, that business is a market leader on three continents. Soon thereafter, I was asked to be President and CEO of the company.  During my tenure, the company saw increasing success, largely due to improving our culture, focusing on our strengths, hiring and retaining the right people, developing leadership, acquiring new territories, and successfully transitioning our business model. When I decided to begin my next chapter in June 2024, our ESOP share price had nearly quadrupled.

My EOS® Journey

While in my CEO role, several business peers recommended that I read “Traction®” and consider using EOS® to run my business.  I read the book, it resonated with me, and I decided to implement it myself.  At first, we experienced some success, but I believed our leadership team had more potential, and that we could achieve even higher levels of execution and accountability in our work.  Soon thereafter, we decided to hire an EOS Implementer®. Together, we solidified our Vision/Traction Organizer® and clarified our Core Values.  We used these tools to help enhance our culture and hire/retain the right people.  Our leadership team was reshaped with the assistance of the GWC® and The People Analyzer® tools. Our weekly Level 10 Meeting® became increasingly valuable, the team galvanized, conversations became more honest, challenges were overcome, opportunities were seized, and our Rocks were achieved nearly 100% of the time.

During this journey, I successfully occupied and transitioned the Sales, Marketing, Finance, Visionary, and Integrator seats on The Accountability Chart®.  Today, I am an Integrator focused on serving Visionaries who run their businesses on EOS®.  I use my natural skillset and experience, along with the power of EOS®, to do so.
